About Me
Hi! I'm Camilla - smallholder, dog fanatic (seriously, we have four), brewer of hedgerow wine and lover of the written word.
I have always found time to write through all of my many and varied careers - I have been a primate keeper, a veterinary nurse, a dog groomer, an artist and a molecular biologist. In fact it was my eleven years as a bench scientist that led to multiple publications within the fields of developmental genetics and ageing. I have written two short stories for children and spent seven years editing and writing for the Somerset Smallholders Association monthly magazine.
Consequently I have a wide field of interest and an inherent love of what some may consider that most tedious of tasks - research!
In 2023 after many years of talking and dreaming, I launched our first glamping site - Marsh Farm Glamping. Having built our website and started cataloguing our journey, I realised my love of blog-writing. This coincided with graduating, with distinction, from the College of Media and Publishing with a diploma in copywriting.
I would now like to put my love of writing to work and help those who don't have the time, skills or inspiration to write their own blogs. And if you have any other copywriting needs, do give me a shout - I'm always open to new projects!
